Antique 20th century Edwardian sideboard in burr walnut, an exceptional piece where the remarkable beauty of the timber immediately takes centre stage. Standing on four cabriole legs detailed by carved knees, the sideboard has an elegant and beautifully balanced form.
Two large cupboard doors sit to either side, each opening to reveal a single internal shelf, while three generous drawers occupy the centre and are finished by decorative brass handles.
Beautiful carving runs along the entire top edge, adding a refined decorative finish without taking attention away from the spectacular walnut.
The burr walnut is undoubtedly a real highlight, displaying wonderfully intricate patterns, swirling grain and rich variations in colour across the piece.
Its distinctive figuring gives every surface depth and individuality, making this sideboard particularly striking from all angles.
In good condition, well made and of excellent quality, this highly desirable Edwardian piece combines generous storage, elegant craftsmanship and truly beautiful burr walnut.
