A very well made antique 18th century heavily carved oak Georgian coffer of good quality, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and intricate detail throughout.
This striking piece is beautifully carved all over, with a highly detailed tavern scene to the front panel that adds real character and historical charm.
The coffer offers generous central storage beneath a lift-up lid, making it both practical and functional.
It stands on carved legs, enhancing its traditional Georgian presence and decorative appeal. The piece displays a gorgeous oak grain and rich colour throughout, further highlighting its age and authenticity.
A true talking-point piece, this is a breathtaking example that is sure to catch the eye of any visiting guests and has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. It is presented in good overall condition, with some signs of old woodworm to a few areas, which does not affect its use and has been fully treated.
A nice large and desirable example, making a perfect addition to any home.
