About us, our pieces and your order
These terms apply when you buy from actfurniture.co.uk. ActFurniture LTD is registered in England and Wales, company number 12737880, registered office 41 Whitefriars Road, Hereford HR2 7XE. Our trading address is Unit 4, Worcester Road, Malvern WR6 5JE. Our VAT registration number is GB381558277.
Everything we sell is antique or vintage and therefore one of a kind. Age-related marks, old repairs and signs of wear are part of the character of these pieces rather than faults. We describe and photograph each piece as accurately as we can and are happy to send further photographs before you buy. Colours can vary between screens.
Because stock turns over quickly and pieces also sell from the warehouse and other channels, please contact us to confirm a piece is still available before ordering. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. If a piece has already sold we will tell you and refund you in full.
Prices are in pounds sterling. All our pieces are sold under the VAT Margin Scheme for second-hand goods, which means VAT is included in the price but is not shown as a separate amount on your invoice and cannot be reclaimed. Delivery is charged separately at checkout and payment is taken when you order.
DELIVERY, RETURNS & LIABILITY
UK mainland delivery is £65 by a two-man team, normally within 3 to 15 working days of payment. Collection from Malvern is free, strictly by appointment. We do not ship internationally, although we are happy to work with a courier you arrange yourself.
If you are a consumer you may cancel within 14 days of delivery and return the piece for a refund. The original delivery cost and the return carriage are deducted from your refund; if you arrange return transport yourself, only the original delivery cost is deducted. Pieces must come back in the condition they were delivered in and suitably packed. Our full returns process is set out in our Store Policies.
Please check your piece on delivery and tell us within 48 hours, with photographs, if anything has been damaged in transit so that we can put it right.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the price of the piece you bought. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
