Antique 19th century Gothic style side table in pitch pine, a charming and characterful piece that reflects the distinctive design influences of the Gothic Revival period.
Well made and of good quality, this attractive table combines practical functionality with understated decorative detail, making it a versatile addition to a variety of interiors.
The table is raised on sturdy legs united by a shaped supporting stretcher, which is subtly decorated with carved detailing that adds character without detracting from the clean, elegant lines of the piece. Its balanced proportions and classic Gothic styling give it a timeless appearance, making it ideal for use as a side table, lamp table or occasional table.
The pitch pine displays gorgeous natural grain and a rich, warm colour throughout, with a beautiful patina that has developed over time. The attractive timber, together with the restrained decoration and quality construction, makes this a particularly desirable example with plenty of period charm.
Presented in good condition, this handsome Gothic style side table is both decorative and practical. A fine example of 19th century furniture, it would make a wonderful addition to any home and is sure to be appreciated for its character, versatility and enduring appeal.
