Antique early 20th century Edwardian bureau writing desk in mahogany, a charming and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship and an unusual, eye-catching design.
The sloping fall front opens to reveal a fitted interior with pigeonholes, letter divisions, a pen tray and an inkwell recess, above a green baize writing surface. Below sits a full-width frieze drawer fitted with pierced brass backplates and acorn drop handles, and the fall front locks with a key.
The lower section is open, framed by three elegant ogee-arched apertures that give the bureau a distinctive, almost Moorish character and provide useful space for books and papers. It stands on slender square tapered legs joined by a gently shaped apron.
The mahogany displays an attractive grain and a warm, rich colour with a lovely aged patina, and the back is made from traditional pine boards.
Of neat, compact proportions, it is ideal for a smaller room, hallway or bedroom. Presented in good condition, a very desirable antique bureau and a perfect addition to any home or study.

Delivery is available throughout the UK mainland, including most areas of Scotland.
Each piece is carefully wrapped and protected prior to dispatch and delivered by our trusted private courier using a two-person team.
Your piece will be delivered to the room of your choice, provided there is suitable access. For items supplied in sections, assembly is not included as part of the delivery service.
Our standard delivery timeframe is approximately 3–15 working days from receipt of payment. The courier will contact you directly to confirm the delivery date and provide an approximate arrival time.
If you have any particular delivery requirements, please let us know before purchasing and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
