Antique 19th century fine quality Victorian fitted chest in pine, an exceptional and increasingly rare example of Victorian craftsmanship. 
Very well made and of the finest quality, this impressive chest combines robust construction with an intelligently designed interior, making it both a highly practical and fascinating period piece.
The chest features a lift-up lid which opens to reveal a beautifully fitted interior, thoughtfully arranged with twelve small drawers alongside a large storage compartment. 
Ideal for organising a variety of items, the interior reflects the meticulous attention to detail invested in its construction. The chest also retains its original key and is fitted with substantial iron carrying handles to either side, further enhancing its authentic character.
Crafted from quality pine, the timber has developed a wonderfully rich, warm colour with gorgeous natural grain throughout. Raised on a plinth base, the chest has a solid and commanding presence, while the quality of the joinery and overall construction demonstrate the high standard to which it was made.
