Antique 19th century small Victorian ebonised cabinet, a very well made and fine quality example of exceptional decorative craftsmanship.
This stunning piece features a beautifully designed upper cabinet with amboyna inlay to the doors, complemented by exquisite painted panels and rich gilded detailing that stands out strikingly against the deep ebonised ground.
The upper section retains its key and opens to reveal a beautifully fitted interior lined with satinwood, adding warmth and contrast to the darker exterior. Below is a single central drawer with its original brass handles, maintaining the cabinet’s authenticity and charm.
The piece stands on elegant turned legs with a lower shelf and casters, offering both stability and practicality. A raised gallery to the top further enhances its refined silhouette.
A rare and highly desirable example in a pleasing small size, presented in good condition. This cabinet truly has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated and would make a perfect addition to any home, combining decorative beauty with fine Victorian craftsmanship.
