Antique 20th century Edwardian revolving bookcase in oak, a highly sought-after and wonderfully practical piece of period furniture.
Very well made and of good quality, this handsome bookcase combines elegant Edwardian styling with a clever revolving mechanism, making it an attractive and functional addition to any study, library or living room.
Designed with four tiers of open shelving, it provides ample space for books, magazines or decorative items while allowing easy access from every side. The bookcase revolves smoothly on its original mechanism, a feature that adds both convenience and character.
Raised on traditional bun feet, it has a sturdy and well-balanced stance that complements its classic design.
The oak has matured to a beautiful warm tone, displaying gorgeous natural grain and colour throughout. Its quality craftsmanship and pleasing proportions are evident from every angle, while the revolving design makes it a rarer and more desirable alternative to a conventional bookcase.
Presented in good condition, this Edwardian revolving bookcase is a rare find with timeless appeal. Both decorative and practical, it would make a superb centrepiece for a study, office or reading room and is certain to become a treasured feature in any home.
