Antique early 20th century Arts & Crafts card table in oak, a neat and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship and charming period design.
The fold-over top swivels and opens out to reveal a green baize playing surface, and turning the top also gives access to a useful storage well beneath, ideal for cards and games.
The frieze is pierced on each side with a stylised tulip cut-out, and the table stands on slender square tapering legs with spade feet, joined by stretchers with a slatted undertier.
The oak is quarter sawn, displaying a stunning ray figured grain and a warm, rich colour with a lovely aged patina.
Presented in good condition commensurate with age. A very desirable Arts & Crafts games table, compact enough to sit against a wall as a side table when closed, a perfect addition to any living room, hallway or games room.
