Antique 18th century Georgian chest of drawers in oak, a handsome and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship and the honest character of English country furniture.
The chest offers two short drawers over three long graduated drawers, each fitted with a pair of brass batwing swan-neck handles and a keyhole, providing generous and practical storage. The drawers are lined in pine.
The case has a moulded top and cockbeaded drawer surrounds, and stands on a moulded base raised on shaped bracket feet, a classic Georgian detail. The back is made up of traditional vertical boards.
The oak displays a wonderful figured grain with lively medullary flashes across the drawer fronts, and a warm, rich colour with a deep aged patina built up over many years.
Presented in good condition for its age, with some marks to the top as can be seen in the photographs. A very desirable Georgian chest, perfect for a bedroom, hallway or living room.

Delivery is available throughout the UK mainland, including most areas of Scotland.
Each piece is carefully wrapped and protected prior to dispatch and delivered by our trusted private courier using a two-person team.
Your piece will be delivered to the room of your choice, provided there is suitable access. For items supplied in sections, assembly is not included as part of the delivery service.
Our standard delivery timeframe is approximately 3–15 working days from receipt of payment. The courier will contact you directly to confirm the delivery date and provide an approximate arrival time.
If you have any particular delivery requirements, please let us know before purchasing and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
