Antique late 19th century Victorian chest of drawers in walnut, a large and handsome piece of good quality in the Aesthetic Movement taste, showcasing fine craftsmanship and a very practical amount of storage.
The top section has a central panelled hat drawer flanked by two short drawers to each side, over three graduated long drawers, all with locks and fitted with decorative brass rosette backplates and turned drop handles.
The drawer fronts are finished with incised reeded line decoration, the case has a moulded cornice and reeded canted stiles, and it stands on a plinth base with a shaped apron carved with scrolls. The back is of traditional panelled pine construction.
The walnut displays a lovely straight grain and a warm, rich golden colour with a mellow patina built up over many years.
Presented in good condition commensurate with age. A very desirable Victorian walnut chest, a perfect addition to any bedroom, landing or dressing room.

Each piece is carefully wrapped and protected prior to dispatch and delivered by our trusted private courier using a two-person team.
Your piece will be delivered to the room of your choice, provided there is suitable access. For items supplied in sections, assembly is not included as part of the delivery service.
Our standard delivery timeframe is approximately 3–15 working days from receipt of payment. The courier will contact you directly to confirm the delivery date and provide an approximate arrival time.
If you have any particular delivery requirements, please let us know before purchasing and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
