Vintage 20th century Georgian style serpentine chest of drawers in mahogany, a handsome and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship and beautifully chosen veneers.
The serpentine front has four long graduated cockbeaded drawers, each fitted with a pair of brass rosette ring handles, and the drawers are oak-lined.
The moulded serpentine top sits above canted and fluted front corners, and the case rests on a moulded serpentine plinth raised on shaped bracket feet.
The drawer fronts and top are veneered in flame mahogany, displaying a stunning figured grain and a warm, rich colour with a lovely patina.
Presented in good condition commensurate with age. Of compact, apartment-friendly proportions, this is a very desirable small serpentine chest, a perfect addition to any bedroom, hallway or living room, and equally useful as a bedside chest.
