Antique 1930s Queen Anne style display cabinet in walnut, a handsome and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship and beautifully figured veneers.
The bow front has a pair of glazed doors with slender vertical astragal bars, each headed by a small carved leaf motif, opening with a key to an interior with two shelves over a base shelf, lined in a pale patterned fabric. The sides are also glazed, letting light fill the display.
The top is veneered in a superb book-matched burr walnut with a carved edge and a low shaped ledge back, and the cabinet stands on four cabriole legs ending in carved ball and claw feet.
The walnut displays a stunning figured burr to the top and a warm, rich colour with a lovely mellow patina throughout.
Presented in good condition commensurate with age. A very desirable burr walnut display cabinet, a perfect addition to any dining room or living room for showing off china, glass and collectables.
