Antique 20th century fine quality tambour cabinet in oak, an exceptionally attractive and highly practical piece displaying excellent design and quality throughout.
Very well made and of good quality, this handsome cabinet features an ingenious tambour mechanism that makes it both a functional storage piece and a wonderful talking point.
A clever pull mechanism positioned on the right-hand side releases the tambour front, allowing it to glide smoothly open and reveal a well-appointed interior. Inside are three adjustable shelves, offering flexible storage for books, tableware, files or decorative items. Raised on a sturdy plinth base, the cabinet has a clean, elegant profile that allows the beautiful oak and unique tambour design to take centre stage.
The oak displays gorgeous natural grain and a rich, warm colour throughout, giving the cabinet tremendous character and visual appeal. Its generous proportions, quality construction and thoughtful design make this a particularly desirable example, while the unusual opening mechanism further adds to its charm and collectability.
Presented in good condition, this impressive oak tambour cabinet is a fine example of quality 20th century furniture. Combining practical storage with timeless style and an innovative design, it would make a superb addition to a study, office, dining room or living space and is sure to be a perfect addition to any home.
