Vintage 20th century French style console table in oak, a charming and elegant piece in the Louis XV manner, showcasing a lovely serpentine outline and graceful hand-carved detail.
The serpentine frieze houses a single full-width drawer with a turned wooden knob, flanked by finely carved acanthus scrolls, with carved shell motifs to the front corners, providing handy storage for keys, post and everyday essentials.
The shaped top has a moulded edge and sits above a matching moulded frieze, all raised on four elegant cabriole legs, each carved to the knee with stylised foliage and finishing in scrolled feet. The back is left plain, so it is designed to stand neatly against a wall.
The oak displays a lively open grain and a warm honey colour, with an attractive natural finish that suits both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Of slim, space-saving proportions, it is ideal for a hallway, landing or narrow living space. Presented in good vintage condition, with some marks to the top consistent with age and use. A very desirable French style console table, a perfect addition to any hallway or entrance.

Delivery is available throughout the UK mainland, including most areas of Scotland.
Each piece is carefully wrapped and protected prior to dispatch and delivered by our trusted private courier using a two-person team.
Your piece will be delivered to the room of your choice, provided there is suitable access. For items supplied in sections, assembly is not included as part of the delivery service.
Our standard delivery timeframe is approximately 3–15 working days from receipt of payment. The courier will contact you directly to confirm the delivery date and provide an approximate arrival time.
If you have any particular delivery requirements, please let us know before purchasing and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
