Vintage 20th century Welsh dresser in oak by Rushworth’s of Shrewsbury, a handmade piece of excellent quality showcasing fine craftsmanship and traditional country design.
The upper plate rack features a moulded cornice above a shaped frieze and elegantly shaped side supports, with two open shelves fitted with plate grooves set against a boarded back, ideal for displaying plates, china or other decorative items.
The base is fitted with three drawers above three fielded panel cupboard doors, each opening to reveal a shelf within, providing plenty of useful storage. It is finished with brass batwing handles, hinges and escutcheons, and stands on a plinth base with panelled sides.
The oak displays a gorgeous natural grain with attractive figuring and a warm, rich colour throughout, and the dresser retains its original Rushworth’s maker’s plaque.
The piece comes apart into two sections for ease of transport and is presented in good condition. A highly desirable and attractive example, perfect addition to any kitchen or dining room.

Delivery is available throughout the UK mainland, including most areas of Scotland.
Each piece is carefully wrapped and protected prior to dispatch and delivered by our trusted private courier using a two-person team.
Your piece will be delivered to the room of your choice, provided there is suitable access. For items supplied in sections, assembly is not included as part of the delivery service.
Our standard delivery timeframe is approximately 3–15 working days from receipt of payment. The courier will contact you directly to confirm the delivery date and provide an approximate arrival time.
If you have any particular delivery requirements, please let us know before purchasing and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
