Vintage 20th century sideboard in pine, a sturdy and well-proportioned dresser base of good quality, showcasing honest country craftsmanship and a lovely rustic character.
The sideboard offers excellent storage, with three drawers over three panelled cupboard doors. Behind the doors the interior is divided into three sections, each with a shelf. The drawers and doors are fitted with turned wooden knob handles, and the doors close with traditional wooden turn catches.
The thick moulded top sits above a pegged frame with fielded door panels, and the piece stands on a deep moulded plinth base. The back is made of wide planked boards.
The pine displays a characterful knotty grain and a warm, honey colour, with a wonderfully aged, rustic patina.
Presented in good vintage condition with some marks and wear consistent with age. A very desirable pine sideboard, perfect for any farmhouse kitchen, dining room or hallway.
