Antique Bureaux

An antique bureau is a writing desk and storage in one. The fall front opens to a writing surface with a fitted interior of pigeonholes and small drawers, then closes to hide the paperwork away. That makes a bureau ideal for a home office, a hallway or a bedroom corner.

Our collection ranges from Georgian-style inlaid mahogany bureaux to Edwardian figured oak, Arts & Crafts golden oak and Art Deco side-by-side bureau bookcases. Check that the lopers (the slides that support the fall) pull out smoothly, and look at the interior photographs to see the original fittings. Each listing includes full measurements.
