Antique 20th century Jacobean style bureau in oak, a charming and characterful piece reflecting traditional craftsmanship and period-inspired design.
Very well made and of good quality, the bureau features a nicely fitted interior to the upper section, ideal for organising documents and writing accessories, and retains its key. The fall-front opens to reveal practical compartments, enhancing both functionality and visual appeal.
Below are three drawers to the centre, all fitted with their original handles, adding authenticity and further storage. The piece stands gracefully on barley twist legs united by a supporting stretcher, a classic Jacobean feature that provides both strength and decorative interest.
The oak displays a warm, attractive grain and colour throughout, contributing to the bureau’s inviting presence and timeless charm. A well-crafted and desirable example presented in good condition, perfect for everyday use while also serving as a decorative focal point in any home.
