Antique Victorian pedestal desk in mahogany, a handsome and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship.
It offers seven drawers in total: three across the frieze above the kneehole and two deep drawers to each pedestal, all fitted with pierced brass swan-neck handles and keyholes.
The top has a moulded edge and a low upstand to the back, and each pedestal stands on a moulded plinth base.
The mahogany displays a lovely figured grain and a warm, rich colour, with an attractive aged patina.
Presented in good condition, with marks and scratches to the top consistent with age and use. A very desirable pedestal desk, perfect for a home office or study.
